Fr. David Radzik
Rector (Beginning July 1, 2024)
Fr. David Radzik comes St. Luke's after serving for seven years at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Brea, Ohio. Prior to St. Thomas, Fr. Dave served in healthcare chaplaincy, first at Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee, WI and at UH Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital in Cleveland, OH. He is a 2015 graduate of Nashotah House Theological Seminary in Wisconsin and also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Classics from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Prior to entering ministry, Fr. Dave was a teacher of English as a Second Language, teaching in South Korea, China, and in the United States.
Fr. Dave has a keen interest in Christian spirituality and theology and seeks creative ways for the Church to address the needs of 21st century America. Some of theologians that have influenced Fr. Dave’s ministry include Karl Barth, Lancelot Andrewes, Michael Ramsey, and St. Augustine. He is passionate about teaching, pastoral care, and about creating vital and transformative worship that is rooted in our rich Anglican/Episcopal tradition expressed in the Book of Common Prayer.
He is a member of the Society of Catholic Priests, as well as several Anglican devotional societies. As a native New Englander, he loves swimming, being out on the water, and hiking. Fr. Dave is also a lifelong Boston Red Sox fan. He also enjoys reading novels, poetry, and a wide array of non-fiction.
He is married to Lorrin, who is an ordained United Methodist clergywoman with whom he has three wonderful, young children.
Susan Bello
Secretary
Susan Gerardi Bello is grateful and blessed to support St. Luke's Parish as their secretary. Susan studied Theatre Arts at SUNY New Paltz and spent six years in Santa Monica, where she studied screenwriting and poetry. Upon returning to New York, Susan met her husband while working at New York Public Radio, where she served as copy editor and sales support for corporate underwriting. After the birth of her son, she and her family moved to Bucks County, PA. Susan co-hosts the Bucks County Bards monthly poetry series at the Newtown Library Company. Her first poetry collection, Through the Oak Tree, will be published by Kelsay Books in early 2020. Susan, who has Ulcerative Colitis, is a staunch advocate of the Specific Carbohydrate Diet (SCD) as a primary therapy in the treatment and healing of IBD. In January 2020, she will be joining the Board of Directors of the Specific Carbohydrate Diet Association, a non-profit dedicated to promoting the benefits of SCD.
Lee Escandon
Cantor and Choirmaster
Lee Escandon is a graduate of University of California - Berkeley, where he studied conducting with David Milnes, and Princeton University, where he founded Schola Cantorum Princetoniensis to provide chant and polyphony for the Catholic chaplaincy. After assistant directing the University of California - Berkeley Chamber Chorus, he directed the UC Berkeley Summer Symphony Orchestra, the Berkeley Opera Chorus, and Princeton University Musica Alta.
He has been involved with the study and practice of Gregorian Chant since the early 90s. He has taught guitar and many other musical instruments for over twenty years, and he has composed hundreds of songs while fronting several rock bands.
