Please join the members of St. Luke’s church as Bishop Daniel G. P. Gutiérrez installs Fr. David Radzik as St. Luke’s 30th rector of the church. A light lunch will follow. This special service will also be livestreamed via Zoom. The installation of a rector in the Episcopal Church is a festive service that marks the start of a new rector’s ministry. It’s also known as a Celebration of New Ministry. It begins with the Institution which is when the Bishop, the Wardens, and the Congregation formally affirm that he is the Rector. There is another part called The Induction when the Bishop, the Clergy, and the Congregation present to him symbols of the varied ministries he will lead us in. More Information

St. Luke's ECW is hosting a winter soup sale in which all proceeds benefit St. Luke's music program. The soup sale will feature the following soups:

• Beef Chili (gluten free)
• Chicken Noodle (gluten free/diary free)
• Minestrone (Vegan, gluten free, diary free)
• Split-Pea Soup with Ham (non-dairy, gluten free)

All orders must be submitted by Monday, March 3rd. Order will be available for pick-up on Saturday, March 8 between 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. from the Parish House. Link to Order Form

Vestry Elections for the 2025-2028 term will be held on Sunday, April 13 after the 10 a,m, service. St. Luke's is seeking a least four members of the church to volunteer for service, For those who would like to serve as a vestry member, please email John Schmidt at john.schmidt1@verizon.net. St. Luke's temporal affairs of the parish are directed by its vestry. The vestry consists of twelve laypeople elected to serve a three-year term. Each member is charged with overseeing an important aspect of the church's business through various committees. These committees include but are not limited to: Property, Finance, Stewardship, Hospitality, Communications, Altar Guild, Vacation Bible School, and ECW. Along with committee duties, the Vestry is an important liaison between the parish and the diocese when searching/hiring a new parish rector. In order to serve on the vestry, members must have been confirmed or received in the Episcopalian church, are in good standing, and are active members. The vestry meets once a month to discuss and vote on important church business.

First Communion

Sunday, May 4, 2025 | 10 a.m. Honoring the tradition of First Holy Communion at St. Luke’s, we are organizing a series of catechism classes for young children in the Spring culminating with a "First Communion” ceremony during Eastertide 2025. While all baptized Christians of any age may receive communion in the Episcopal Church, these classes would be suitable for all children, three to eight years of age, who would be benefit from a deeper understanding of the Catholic Faith as taught in the Episcopal Church. There will be two classes leading up the first communion mass:

• Saturday, March 9th | 10 - 11:15 a.m.
• Saturday, April 6th | 10 - 11:15 a.m.

Confirmation/Being Received Into the Episcopalian Church

Sunday, May 4, 2025 | 10 a.m. Bishop Daniel G. P. Gutiérrez will be at St. Luke's to confirm and receive individuals wishing to make a deeper commitment to the Christian faith in the Episcopalian Church. For those 14 and under, Fr. David would like to arrange four one-hour sessions in-person or on Zoom at mutually convenient times. For older teens and adults, Fr. Davis will be offering four one-hour classes in person or on Zoom on the following dates:

• March 10 | 7:30 p.m.
• March 17 | 7:30 p.m.
• March 24 | 7:30 p.m.
• March 31 | 7:30 p.m.

This Fall, St. Luke’s launched a new initiative for children and parents/caregivers called "Play Cafe." A portion of our Parish House will be open on Tuesdays from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. as space for children to play together and for parents/caregivers to take a much needed breather during their busy week. Coffee and use of our WIFI network will be available to adults, and toys and activities will be available for the kids. We are looking for volunteers to help lead kids’ activities and read stories.
