Honoring the tradition of First Holy Communion at St. Luke’s, we are organizing a series of catechism classes for young children in the Spring culminating with a "First Communion” ceremony during Eastertide 2025. While all baptized Christians of any age may receive communion in the Episcopal Church, these classes would be suitable for all children, four to nine years of age, who would be benefit from a deeper understanding of the Catholic Faith as taught in the Episcopal Church.
Please contact the church office before November 1st if there is a child in your family whom you would like to participate.

This Fall, St. Luke’s launched a new initiative for children and parents/caregivers called "Play Cafe." A portion of our Parish House will be open on Tuesdays from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. as space for children to play together and for parents/caregivers to take a much needed breather during their busy week. Coffee and use of our WIFI network will be available to adults, and toys and activities will be available for the kids.
We are looking for volunteers to help lead kids’ activities and read stories. Please contact Fr. Dave stlukesnewtownrector@gmail.com or the Parish Office stlukeschurchpa@verizon.net or (215) 968-2781 if you’re able to assist.

The Vestry of St. Luke's is pleased to share the appointment of Fr. David Radzik as the new rector of St. Luke's Episcopal Church. We are thrilled to welcome him and his family to our church community, and the greater community of Bucks County. While the search process has been long and sometimes difficult, we are reminded that all good is accomplished in God's time and in His care. Fr. Radzik will officially start at St. Luke's on July 1, 2024, and his first Mass will be on Sunday, July 7th. Please pray for him and his family as they make the move from Ohio to Pennsylvania.
Fr. David Radzik comes to Saint Luke’s after serving seven years at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Berea, OH having also served several years as a pediatric hospital chaplain.
He is 2015 graduate of Nashotah House Theological Seminary in Wisconsin and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Classics from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Prior to entering ministry, Fr. Radzik was a teacher of English as a Second Language and taught in South Korea, China, and the United States.
He is married to Lorrin, who is an ordained United Methodist clergywoman with whom he has three wonderful, young children.
Fr. Radzik has a keen interest in Christian spirituality and theology, and seeks creative ways for the Church to address the needs of 21st century America. His ministry is deeply informed by the writings of the Church Fathers, as well as 20th century Catholic theologians.
He is passionate about teaching, pastoral care, and about creating vital and transformative worship rooted in our rich Anglican tradition expressed in the Book of Common Prayer.
He is a member of the Society of Catholic Priests, as well as several Anglo-Catholic devotional societies such as the Society of Mary and the Guild of All Souls. As a native New Englander, he loves swimming, being out on the water, and hiking. Fr. Dave is also a lifelong Boston Red Sox fan though he suspects the Phillies will begin to grow on him as he settles into the Philadelphia area. He also enjoys reading novels, poetry, and a wide array of non-fiction. But most of all, he enjoys being with his family and looks forward to many new Pennsylvania-based adventures in the years to come.
