Members of St. Luke’s church and clergy from across the diocese witnessed Bishop Daniel G. P. Gutiérrez install Fr. David Radzik as St. Luke’s 30th church rector on Saturday, March 15, 2025.

Father Dave was called to St. Luke’s and began his ministry on July 1, 2024. Fr. Radzik came to St. Luke’s after serving for seven years at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Brea, Ohio. Prior to St. Thomas, Fr. Dave served in healthcare chaplaincy, first at Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee, WI and at UH Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital in Cleveland, OH. He is a 2015 graduate of Nashotah House Theological Seminary in Wisconsin and also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Classics from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Prior to entering ministry, Fr. Dave was a teacher of English as a Second Language, teaching in South Korea, China, and in the United States.

The installation of a rector in the Episcopal Church is a festive service that marks the start of a new rector’s ministry. It’s also known as a Celebration of New Ministry. It begins with the Institution which is when the Bishop, the Wardens, and the Congregation formally affirm that he is the Rector. There is another part called The Induction when the Bishop, the Clergy, and the Congregation present to him symbols of the varied ministries he will lead us in.
