St. Luke's Choir
Under the direction of Choirmaster, Nicholas M. Mynyk, St. Luke's Choir is a semi-professional choral ensemble comprised of twelve members. The Choir sings during the 10 a.m. choral mass on Sundays (from September to June) and at all principal liturgies on Holy Days. The majority of the repertoire is based on European Choral Music with special emphasis on music from the Anglican Tradition. The choir also frequently performs music composed by Handel, J. S. Bach, Mozart, Haydn, and Schubert with orchestral accompaniment. Several times a year the choir is joined by the professional Academy of St. Luke's Chamber Orchestra to offer concerted Viennese masses. On All Souls/Saints Day the choir performs the Requiem by Faure accompanied by harp and organ. In mid-December, the choir offers Lessons and Carols which is a warm Holiday Service also accompanied by a harp. The Choir rehearses every Wednesday evening beginning at 7:15 p.m. from September to May in the Church. For more information on the choir, or to inquire about joining, please email Nicholas M. Mynyk at firstname.lastname@example.org.
